For us stick-building was becoming harder every day as a custom homebuilder. The limited availability of skilled labor becomes more magnified when you have 6-l0 residential, multi-family and light commercial projects going on at any one time. To help accomplish what we had on the drawing board, including three developments and one of them a 50 lot community, we turned to Mod-U-Kraf. It was obvious we had outgrown stick building.

Everyone from the management and designers, to the expediters at Mod-U-Kraf, works to make our lives easier and is concerned with delivering a quality product. The entire process is engineered to automatically control and know a fixed cost. And with the flexibility we have available, we don't miss a beat in versatility from tray ceilings to the customizing features homeowners want. - Larry Omps,

From actually living in a modular home, I became very familiar with what to expect in a typical modular home. 1 hen about three years ago, when our Land Development Company planned to build spec homes and mini subdivisions, we decided modular was the way to go. It was easier than working with all the subcontractors. Would using modular construction save us time and money too? Absolutely!

What I didn't expect was the higher standard of quality we discovered inside every Mod-U-Kraf home. When we looked at the cabinets, faucets, trim, windows and doors, it was more than sound construction, Take the plant tour and see for yourself. The complete package is far and beyond other modular manufacturers, However, beyond a quality product we found Mod-U-Kraf was very responsive. You don't have to jump through hoops to get answers. If it's a missing part - it's shipped promptly. Most importantly the company works with you, the Builder.

Having been an Independent Builder Of Mod-U-Kraf for more than a decade, we are more powerful today than a decade ago. Obviously, you can see it in the high standard building materials we use. What was once considered optional or high grade is now standard features in our homes Optional features have now become items like luxurious spas or hardwood flooring. Larger homes now lead Mod-U-Kraf's' advertising. That's because a large part of our construction is larger homes, apartment buildings, or townhomes.

Our marketing is more market driven. Since it is so difficult to tell the difference between stick-built and true modular, we learned to let the customer fall in love with the product and quit selling "how to" build modular.

With the completion of the expansion of the Mod-U-Kraf production facility in Rocky Mount, VA, Mod-U-Kraf will have the power and the production capacity at their fingertips to turn larger projects faster without interfering with the regular schedule. That's a plus for me since I'm currently building 24 apartments and don't plan on stopping any time soon.

None of this could have been accomplished without an open communication with Mod-U-Kraf every step of the way. We can get the information we need to our customers faster. That's a big difference.

Ten years ago, health care in assisted living was poor by today's standards. By helping to pioneer the Bed and Breakfast homestead atmosphere in the health care field, I was able to participate in raising the standard of living that will probably affect members of your family - maybe your immediate family.
Because I came from a family of reputable builders, I knew about and despised dealing with the inconsistency and covering up of poor quality work that was common in construction. The local Fire Marshall directed me to Mod-U-Kraf, whose name was familiar because I was actually living in a Mod-U-Kraf home.

With Mod-U-Kraf we know what's in the walls and floors and it's consistent to higher level of construction every lime. Just as Important I found the company closely matches my background values. Although a lot of modular companies can do good work, we look at the character and quality to stand behind the product - not shallow talk, at the same lime, we claim responsibility for 50% of the job. The final product is my product to be done right. Seed & Harvest was founded on the principles of what you sow you will reap.

We found Mod-U-Kraf was very responsive. We couldn't stick build a house at this level of precision at a competitive price. We have outgrown stick building.
