Take a look inside our more than 180,000 square foot facility to see how your Mod-U-Kraf home is constructed.

Using engineered plans prepared in advance by Mod-U-Kraf, the home is ready to begin production and the components are standing by in inventory. Before the line begins rolling, raw materials are precision cut into components for fabricating modular sections.

The line begins rolling with floor and wall systems being framed in modern mechanical jigs. The mechanical jigs support and promote both speed and accuracy. Since the production process is factory controlled, weather is not the determining factor like it is with stick- built.

The roof system is constructed with specially engineered roof trusses in mechanical jigs. Cranes then lift the trusses into position atop modular sections. Rough electrical and plumbing are installed before moving on.

At this point down the line, the interior drywall is installed and finished. Exterior walls are insulated with fiberglass insulation and structural storm sheathing is installed on the outside.

There's a lot of motion at this stop. The interior wall finish and painting is done. Windows and doors are installed and exterior siding is installed when needed.

All the movement is inside setting interior doors and trimming out the interior. The cabinets for kitchen and bath and counter tops are placed in sections that are now 70% complete.

At the end of the line, finish electrical and plumbing is installed and tested. Final cleaning and touchup is completed and ship loose material stock is prepared for shipping with the modular sections.
